Focus on Florida Livin'

I am long overdue for a new post here at ArmsInsideTheVehicle! The last year has been whirlwind of events and activities, with a couple of them being in the "life-changing" category! No joke and no exaggerating needed. Perhaps the biggest event was relocating our family from Arizona to Florida. Big, HUGE event for us! It hasn't been easy and a ton of adjusting had to occur. A year later, I can safely say that it was a great decision! And nothing that I've ever experienced represents the philosophy of "Please keep your hands, arms, feet, and legs inside the vehicle" better than our life journey of the last year.

That's not to say that there are not things that we miss. People! We still miss our friends and family from Kansas the most. We also miss the relationships that we formed over the 7+ years in AZ. Mountains! The highest point of Florida is probably the top of a bridge that was built to allow ship traffic under it! No rain! We miss not having to worry about weather forecasts (Can you say hot and dry 90% of the time?). Arizona winters! The weather in Phoenix is beautiful for about 6 months of the year. Add a month or two of hot days, but lovely nights and you get a place where it is a joy to live there for 9 months of the year.

But we love Florida! If you know us or have looked at pretty much all of the previous posts, you're thinking that it has to do with Disney World and you wouldn't be entirely wrong. We have had some great times at Disney. We've spent time at Universal Studios. Truth told, we've spent a lot of time in Orlando. But the fact that we've had Disney annual passes has also prevented us from experiencing the rest of Florida. Our passes expired in July and we decided not to renew them. We have a bucket list of things that we want to experience.  Here are a few pics of what we've experienced so far:

So look for some upcoming posts on some of those things! I'll try to be better about posting our adventures. Until then, remember that life can be a bumpy ride........"For your safety, please remain seated with your hands, arms, feet and legs inside the vehicle at all times."
